We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support our data and analytics initiatives through project documentation and business analysis. This role involves working closely with business users to gather, document, and analyze current and future processes. The successful candidate will also identify application dependencies and provide recommendations for process improvements.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop process flows and maintain clear communication with team members and project managers.
- Gain a deep understanding of business functions and processes.
- Update and refine business process requirements based on client feedback.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Act as a liaison between clients and project teams to facilitate understanding of user interactions.
- Monitor and uphold high levels of client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage and complete change requests.
- Document and analyze issues within client systems or processes to recommend efficiencies for future improvements.
- Analyze and document the current structure and use cases of applications or processes.
- Assist project managers in understanding user experience insights.
- Support business clients in outlining requirements for future use cases.
- Ensure that appropriate controls, including security measures, are applied to all work efforts.
- Track and ensure the completion of required tasks.
- Update training materials and process documentation as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and strong analytical skills for data and process examination.
- Recent roles should reflect increasing responsibility as a Business Analyst in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Energetic and passionate about business analysis, with a positive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Detail-oriented with strong task leadership skills.
- Proficient in documentation best practices, including using revision history, version control, and unique identifiers for requirements.
- Proficient in listening to customer needs and understanding their current processes; experience in process design or documentation preferred.
- Familiarity with process mapping tools like Visio or similar software.
- Ability to work independently while managing workload and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Experience in creating business analysis deliverables, such as requirements documents, process diagrams, use cases, traceability matrices, and data dictionaries.
- Background in working within cross-functional teams and matrixed environments.
- Experience with third-party implementations is a plus
- Proven track record of collaborating with both business and technical teams to define, document, and track software requirements.
- Proven expertise in requirements gathering and documentation.
- Willingness to learn new skills and share knowledge with team members; proactive and resourceful.
- Preferred Skills:
- IIBA certification is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills for compiling and presenting large data sets accurately.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.
