Description
Amazon Flex enables independent contractors (delivery partners) to deliver packages and groceries to our customers. Flex delivery partners choose when, where and the types of deliveries they make. Amazon Flex is powered by a mobile app that works in concert with our advanced logistics systems, allowing delivery partners to select offers for a pick-up location, delivery time, and navigate a pre-planned delivery route. Amazon Flex delivers to customers North America, UK, and AsiaPac.
In this role you will support Amazon Flex's strategic objectives on a global basis, partnering with country teams to source business partners, and implement programs that grow the Flex business and reward Flex driver partners. The ideal candidate for this role is a motivated self-starter who thrives on working in the complex and challenging environment of a rapidly evolving business. This role will require earning trust, managing multiple projects, and balancing priorities in an evolving environment. You will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to convey compelling value propositions, and build consensus with internal and external stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
- Own negotiations of contracts/deals with partner companies that deliver value to Flex and delivery partners.
- Develop and manage strong partner relationships that enable growth, renewals and/or amendments of existing contracts
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities. Prospect and establish contacts with partner executives.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (product, technical, marketing, finance, legal) charged with building programs, and owning deliverables and financial goals.
- Support Flex country teams sourcing partners and developing new programs.
- Prepare written updates and program reviews to the senior management team.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in business, computer science, engineering, operations, or logistics.
- Industry experience with gig-economy delivery/rideshare, logistics, transportation, technology, fin-tech or health care.
- Demonstrated competence in working independently to structure, negotiate, and close partnerships and master service agreements.
- Comfortable juggling priorities and making things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to deep dive financial analysis, and use data and metrics to back up assumptions and support recommended decisions.
- Experience conducting business in the Americas, EMEA, & AsiaPac

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
