About the Job
Sr. Buyer / Planner needed for a HealthTech manufacturing company located near the Irvine Spectrum.
Temporary opportunity going for 3 months, with the possibility of month-to-month extensions thereafter. Conversion to a permanent role is possible for the right candidate, but not guaranteed. Paying $53/hr, possibly more based on industry experience. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM , with possible overtime.

Responsibilities:
- Manage suppliers, cost, Leadtime, returns/MRB.
- Production control, work order management, and capacity planning.
- Manage the procurement of board assemblies, electronic components, and machined parts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to optimize purchasing strategies.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock.
- Implement best practices in procurement processes to enhance efficiency.
- Handle multiple priorities and tasks with a logical, common-sense approach.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience at a senior level.
- Commodity Experience:
PCBA’s (printed circuit board assembly),
sheet metal,
machined parts, and
injection molding. - Has contacts with suppliers that manufacture the above commodities.
- Knows MRP functionality and can forecast/plan materials at an expert level .
- Expert level in Excel: Vlookup, Pivot tables, and Complex IF statements.
- Strong sense of urgency, cares about doing the right thing, and ownership.
- Company uses ERP system NetSuite. Procurement software knowledge is a must, can be either NetSuite, SAP Oracle, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $53.00 - $53.00 Per Hour
