Responsibilities:Position Summary:
Incumbent applies extensive clinical knowledge and data analysis skills to develop and manage the organization's clinical excellence programs. Incumbent is responsible for performing efficient, accurate and thorough chart review to abstract and validate necessary data. The incumbent establishes procedural norms and process metrics to monitor and evaluate clinical performance metrics, analyzes data, and identify opportunities for improvement in patient outcomes, clinical processes, and patient safety. Independently spearheads efforts to develop and enhance organizational processes related to the program and regularly works on highly complex issues requiring in-depth analysis of both current and ideal states. Effectively identifies and incorporates current evidence-based practice into improvement recommendations. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and relevant stakeholders to ensure that clinical excellence program objectives are met.

Required Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of statistics
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite applications with emphasis on Excel and Visio
- Strong analytical skills to effectively comprehend complex system reports and analyze an array into an actionable form
- Resourcefulness to identify and search for information that is not readily available
- Prior licensed clinical experience or expertise, such as RN, NP, foreign medical grad
- Previous experience or exposure to quality, patient safety, infection control, or performance improvement methodologies (includes educational experience if applicable)
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate meticulous attention to accuracy with data collection and reporting
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare with an emphasis on relationship building with multiple health care disciplines
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the use of an electronic medical record
- Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively with physicians, managers and high-level administrative staff as well as support staff who are critical to departmental functions
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare discipline
- Ability to prioritize and contribute to simultaneous projects and facilitate teamwork among project staff / participants
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in operational transactions and communications
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
