Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Construction Builder to join our dynamic team in Portland, OR. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timelines are met.
- Select and use the right tools to build panels, parts and assemblies.
- Utilize woodworking skills to create and assemble structures and components.
- Perform construction tasks, including running conduit, rough plumbing, flooring installation
- Diagnose and troubleshoot minor electrical issues, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly.
- Assemble mechanical components with precision and attention to detail.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide construction efforts.
- Utilize calipers and micrometers for accurate measurements and quality control.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Use band saws and belt sanders to shape and finish materials as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, with a focus on woodworking and home construction.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and mechanical assembly experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Valid forklift operator certification is preferred.
- Ability to operate band saws, belt sanders, and other construction tools safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
