Sr. Construction Project Manager - Bergman KPRS

Bergman KPRS is a leading national General Contractor/Project Management Company, seeking Sr. Project Manager candidates with 10 years minimum experience with excellent communication and technical skills related to construction project management includes, but not limited to planning, executing, and monitoring projects in order to meet requirements while controlling budget, contractual scope of work, and schedules.

This experienced Sr. Project Manager needs to embody the full knowledge of site work in various construction building types with a solid background in actual hands-on construction to become an integral member of our local Construction Team.  He/she will be responsible for successfully managing construction teams of professionals in achieving positive project results and obtaining repeat contract awards.  This is an in-house office position that is only being offered to current local Southern California Residents.

The Sr. Project Manager reports directly to the Managing Member and/or Director of Operations. His/her responsibilities include managing all matters relating to preconstruction,  cost estimating, project bidding, and vendor qualifications.

Responsibilities Include:

• Monitoring and reporting (i.e., cost reports; etc.) of the project(s).
• Project schedule preparing/monitoring project schedules (i.e., monitoring critical path activities; near critical path activities; monitor 3-week look ahead schedules; etc.) using Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
• Preparing and monitoring Procurement Logs.
• Subcontract scoping and negotiate buyouts.
• Formulate/Monitor Subcontracts & Purchase Orders
• Preparing and negotiating Owner Change Orders.
• Preparing and negotiating Subcontractor Change Orders.
• Ensure Project(s) Closeout Properly Conducted/Completed.
• Ensuring that the construction project(s) are complying with safety and building code requirements.
• Conducting an in-depth analysis of the project to develop the budget and deliverables.
• Conducting in-depth constructability review/analysis.
• Able to identify, manage and mitigate risk factors to ensure the construction goes smoothly.
• Initiate and chair all OAC Meetings.
• Initiate and ensure all GC/Subcontractor Meetings (i.e., pre-installation meetings; coordination meetings; etc.)
• Initiate and ensure all City Official/Inspector Meetings
• Collaborate closely with Clients, Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors, City Officials/Inspectors, etc. to establish the requirements for the construction project(s).
• Collaborate and reviewing with Preconstruction Department bid proposals and packages. Incl. conducting onsite/pre-bid walk-throughs to identify, site logistics and constraints.

• ProCore Project Management Certified
• OSHA 30
• Bluebeam Certified
• LEED Certified
• Certified in Microsoft Project
• Certified in Primavera P6
• Bachelor of Science Degree – Construction Management
