What are we looking for?
The Senior Consulting Engineer - HAE/ICT GMA and Regulatory position has developed a specialization within a specific domain of expertise. Will be responsible for the completion of a part of a project or activities for which he/she leads a small team. A senior consultant is more client-facing and will be responsible for driving sales activities to generate additional business.
Salary & Benefits Information
The base wage or salary range for this position is $140K - $150K . Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:
- Manage and direct consulting staff.
- Mentor and develop staff by setting appropriate goals and objectives.
- Attend technical trade or association meetings.
- Independently conduct on and off-site evaluation to customer specific requirements. Including but not limited to:
- Research, read and determine applicability of national codes and standards.
- Read and understand schematics and manufacturing instructions.
- Validate the project scope and sample applicability.
- Under scope of the project, identify required testing and develop test plans.
- Identify and document simple repairs/corrections on EUT as needed.
- Conduct thorough design review and document results.
- Supply information for quotes such as length of project, resources and samples required, and standards that will be used.
- Provide more specialized "expertise" in one product category, i.e., become subject matter expert, or obtain and maintain advanced product knowledge.
- Coordinate and lead client meetings/discussions.
- Provide sales support for any and all product requirements including direct customer presentations.
- Management of subcontracted work.
- Communicate project status and test results to client, sales personnel, and management throughout project. Provide on-going support to clients as needed.
- Identify project needs and sample deliveries for effective resource planning and meeting of client's expectations.
- Play a variety of roles depending on projects, such as a technical and scientific reference or organizing and managing tasks
- Delegate tasks to other team members to make sure the project is completed on a timely basis
- Provide the support during the duration of projects to ensure the needs of the organization are met
- Perform technical assessments and analysis of specifications of projects and implement necessary solutions Work closely with customers to gain an understanding of needs

MinimumRequirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- 7+ years directly related ICT, RF and Wireless Communications Industry and/or Hardware Engineering.
- Hands on testing experience for EMC/EMI/RF regulatory compliance including FCC/ISED, supporting applications like BT, WLAN/Wi-Fi, NFC, 802.11, LTE.
- Demonstrated Experience in leading cross functional technical and business discussions with both internal and external clients.
- Ability to travel domestically & internationally, approximately 25% of the time.
- Experience with Regulatory Requirements and International Approval Processes (GMA)
- Experience in working in a regulatory and product development engineering capacity.
- Experience working in the RF/Wireless, ICT, Appliance, Electronics in product regulatory and/or product development capacities.
- Experience with UL and IEC standards to demonstrate NRTL, CE, CB marking and other regulatory compliance schemes.
- Knowledge and experience in industries such as ICT/Consumer Electronics Commercialization (go to market)
- Experience dealing with Standards writing committees, AHJ's with respect to new and unusual products, regulations.
- Experience leading regulatory wireless enterprise expansions internationally: North America, LATAM, EU, EMEA, APAC, Greater China
- Experience with managing the optimization of hardware certifications for large volume country launches, in-country alternatives, various supply chain models, and complex regulatory compliance barriers.
- Experience with training and development of staff in wireless and information communication technology products related to regulatory compliance approvals, technical standard requirements, and strategic access operations.
- Direct working experience with regulatory requirements and certification processes for wireless devices including FCC, ISED, CE Directives including RED, and target country certification schemes with conformity procedures.
- Direct working experience with wireless and information communication systems such as Bluetooth, 802.11xx, NFC, and similar.
- Clear Understanding of the overall Product Development / Product Delivery/NPI cross-functional integration process @ an OEM level.
- This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred, advanced degree desired.
