Position Summary:
The Sr. Data Analyst reports to the Senior Director, Ambulatory Quality & Safety and is responsible for providing analysis and project management support for quality and performance improvement initiatives for Ambulatory & Physician services.
Collaborate with senior leadership, departments and staff to ensure successful implementation of initiatives supporting the goals of the organization to include advanced analytics, developing and implementing performance improvement strategies, and monitoring key metrics.
This position is on-site.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required in a related field. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- 3 years’ progressive experience in healthcare quality improvement / analytics / or consulting environment required.
- Strong analytic skills including proficiency of Microsoft Excel (& SQL highly preferred)
- Proficient in Data Visualization principles and comfortable using visualization applications (experience with Power BI highly preferred)
- Experience with the following applications preferred: EPIC, MIDAS

Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment
- May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital’s SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospital’s Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS data base can also be found at the hospital switchboard, saved on a disc.

- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to follow through on assignments without supervision.
