What we're looking for:
InStride is seeking an experienced Sr. Data Analyst to join our growing Data Analytics team. As a Sr. Data Analyst reporting to the Director of Data Analytics, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights and recommendations that drive strategic decisions across the business. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the company, providing them with data-driven insights to support growth and operational efficiency. Your work will contribute to building a strong data culture, enabling key business partners to self-serve data through dynamic dashboards and make informed decisions using company-wide metrics.
Skills we'd love to see you show off:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze complex datasets from Databricks to provide actionable insights across internal teams such as sales, marketing, finance, and product. Build and maintain dynamic Tableau dashboards that empower stakeholders to self-serve and track key metrics.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business partners to understand needs and provide data-driven insights for strategic decisions. Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, helping them interpret data and apply it effectively.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Metrics: Identify, define, and track company-wide key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business goals. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of KPIs, suggesting new metrics to support organizational consistency.
- Data Validation & Integrity: Ensure accuracy and consistency in data reporting, collaborating with analytics engineers to maintain data quality. Validate data models, ensuring alignment with business requirements and optimization for reporting.
- Data Visualization & Presentation: Create clear and compelling visualizations to communicate complex data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Present insights and recommendations in a concise, actionable format to business leaders and teams.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain thorough documentation of data models, analysis processes, dashboards, and business rules. Ensure stakeholders understand key metrics and methodologies through clear and accessible documentation.
Who you are:
- 5+ years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role.
- Strong expertise in SQL and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent business acumen with the ability to quickly understand complex business processes and relationships between data.
- Proficient in statistics and comfortable applying statistical methods to analyze data.
- Experience identifying, defining, and tracking KPIs that support strategic business initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a knack for making data insights easy to understand for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in a collaborative environment with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in the edtech or education sector is a plus.

- Help drive business performance by uncovering trends and opportunities.
