Under the supervision and direction of the National Director, Corporate Partnerships & Business Development (NDCPBD), the Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships & Business Development manages an aggressive fundraising portfolio with major corporations and works cross-territory to support the Division’s annual revenue goal through collaboration, expertise and strategic insight. This position leads significant revenue generation for national and regional accounts by providing direct supervision to a team of Directors and Managers and by personally managing significant partnerships with a focus on multi-year partnerships and in support of the BGCA mission.
Strong focus will be placed on managing enterprise-wide corporate accounts to ensure deliverables are met, while building and renewing a team corporate partnership portfolio and generating funding from new corporate prospects, including cause marketing opportunities, through direct supervision and leadership of assigned team members. As a Senior Director and part of the CCP Extended Leadership Team, this position will further enhance and support division strategies, growth and special projects as well as serve as an example for account management staff with revenue responsibilities and serving as a subject matter expert on one or more high-priority items within the BGCA mission (ex. Youth of the Year, Life & Workforce Readiness).
Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead a team of Corporate & Cause Partnership Directors and Managers
- Hire, train, supervise, evaluate and develop a successful high functioning team according to BGCA’s policies and procedures, ensuring the overall smooth functioning of the staff, and consulting the NDCPBD and appropriate Human Resources staff as indicated
- Lead revenue generation by providing direct supervision and guidance to a team of Directors and Managers
- Monitor and forecast revenue with integrity in collaboration with NDCPBD
- Serve as a member of the Corporate & Cause Partnerships Extended Leadership Team, always seeking out opportunity for collaboration with peers and colleagues, especially the Lead Directors, Account Management
- Conduct and/or participate in state, regional, and national staff meetings and conferences
- Support special projects or assignments as requested

Secure Annual Team and Individual Revenue Goals
- Based on an individual revenue goal as determined in each annual performance plan, develop and implement an aggressive solicitation plan of corporate support leading negotiations for partnerships, renewals/upgrades to increase retention and cultivation of existing partners, and support the solicitation and stewardship of new business development through team of Directors and Managers
- Develop, manage and evaluate strategic partnerships with corporations, monitoring activity via regular and ongoing reporting through assigned account management staff and customer contact(s)
- Share responsibility, and significantly contribute to, through individual and team, for Corporate & Cause Partnerships Team Total Revenue and Operating Revenue goals, as well as other quantitative factors
- Work cross functionally (i.e., Account Management, Youth Development, Partnership Marketing & Public Relations, Field Operations, Legal, etc.) as needed to develop robust and targeted solicitation(s) for prospects based upon targeted research and CSR focus at each company, and to build, maintain, renew/upgrade and service partnerships and identify new business opportunities.
Develop, Steward and Engage in Partnership Growth
- Monitor key account activity via reports and frequent customer contact; develop and deliver performance reports with a focus on developing and implementing with account management, a high-level annual stewardship plan for partnerships
- Contribute and provide guidance and insight into overall sales strategy to the Corporate Partnerships & Business Development team, based on Organization priorities, including sharing knowledge and recommendations on creation of dynamic presentation packages for new corporate prospects and renewals
- Engage with the Corporate & Cause Partnership leadership team to further enhance and support division strategies and special projects including, but not limited to conducting and/or participating in state, regional and national staff meetings and conferences; serve as representative for Corporate & Cause Partnerships team on task forces and work groups as needed.
- Serve as subject matter expert on one or more high-priority items within the BGCA mission (ex. Youth of the Year, Life 7 Workforce Readiness) and share knowledge of this with the team as needed. Liaise with appropriate members of other teams to ensure common understanding and focus of area
- Maintain and demonstrate understanding of corporate social responsibility and related issue and trends – how they are evolving and expectations of companies to address global and local issues, sharing timely information and learnings to broader CCP Team.
- Engage local Clubs, state alliances and regional leadership in the overall corporate strategy, keeping Clubs informed and engaged on promotions and overall corporate activities which further BGCA’s mission.
- Working with NVPCCP and NDCPBD, Senior Director may be called upon to contribute to the development and execution of annual partner cultivation events (quarterly webinars, national meeting, etc.) and stewardship initiatives.
- Support growth of BGCA mission through innovation and strategic planning.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related education/experience equivalency
- Minimum of five years successful fundraising, sales and/or account management experience preferred
- Demonstrated track record of planning, managing and initiating corporate relationships with the non-profit sector.
- Experience with cause marketing campaigns and working with high level corporate representatives and volunteer board members is preferred
- Ability to develop and execute innovate and strategic plans that balance partner/client goals and objectives with BGCA’s mission, goals and objectives
- Demonstrated successful experience in leading, supervising and development staff
- Experience in facilitating strategic planning across teams
- Outstanding writing and editing skills
- Working knowledge of Salesforce and/or other related CRM system
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
