Sr. Dir., Head of Business Development & Licensing, RNAi - Perm - Boston, MA

Proclinical is seeking a Senior Director, Head of Business Development and Licensing to join an innovative RNAi company leveraging a state-of-the-art AI platform to advance a pipeline of novel therapeutics.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Expand and develop dialogue with potential partners and lead outreach efforts.
• Propose and negotiate deal structures to maximize retained value.
• Drive commercial positioning in external forums and support investor relations efforts.
• Assess commercial opportunities in therapeutic areas and indications.
• Map industry activity and stay updated on trends in computational/AI drug discovery and the genetic medicines field.
• Collaborate with R&D teams and suggest commercial strategies.
• Interface with AI and informatics teams to leverage advances.
• Manage alliances, build rapport with partners, and work closely with R&D and finance teams.
• Develop bespoke pitch materials tailored to target audiences.
• Line manage Competitive Intelligence and Business Development Analysts.

Skills & Requirements:

• Proven track record in business development within the life sciences industry.
• Experience in assessing opportunities and negotiating R&D deals.
• Strong understanding of the competitive landscape.
• Highly analytical with outstanding attention to detail.
• Established network of contacts and relationships with key decision-makers in pharma companies.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong financial acumen for valuation analyses.
