Hayward Industries (NYSE "HAYW") is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment globally, with a growing presence in the commercial pool market. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, we design, manufacture, and market a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment. Our facilities are in North Carolina, Tennessee, Arizona, Rhode Island, Spain, and China, with distribution centers in France, Canada, and Arizona.  The role is located in Clemmons, NC.

As Sr. Director of Engineering, reporting to the Global Chief Engineering Officer, you will lead product engineering teams across NC, Nashville, and Phoenix, collaborating with our Rhode Island center to ensure top-notch quality and performance. This key leadership role focuses on the professional development of our engineering staff and organizational improvement.

• Lead and mentor engineering teams for core products like pumps, filters, cleaners, heaters, and floor cleaning systems.
• Ensure alignment and consistency across all Engineering Centers.
• Drive the design process, maintaining industry standards.
• Utilize engineering services effectively, including reliability, testing, and compliance.
• Guide teams on product development responsibilities.
• Report on design progress, ensuring adherence to specifications, quality, and schedule.
• Develop and maintain design guides and best practices.
• Lead product design initiatives and improve the financial impact of technical activities.

• 15+ years in technical design and 10+ years in management.
• Proven track record of meeting commitments and delivering high-quality work.
• Experience leading complex, long-term projects.
• Ability to inspire and lead high-caliber technical teams.
• Strategic and tactical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in engineering processes and product development.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• BSEE or BSME Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
