PURPOSE AND SCOPE:As the Senior Director of Long-Term Care Operations, comprehensive oversight is given to all front-end and back-end operations for Long-Term Care (LTC) services within FRx. This includes a range of critical functions such as Automation, Document Intake, Data Entry, Adjudication, and Prior Authorization. The role involves maintaining strategic relationships with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) and other crucial LTC vendors. The responsibility spans the realm of compliance packaging and regulations associated with LTC dispensing.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership in establishing and optimizing all aspects of the long-term pharmacy operation, overseeing critical functions such as Automation, Document Intake, Data Entry, Adjudication, and Prior Authorization.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) and other essential LTC vendors. This includes negotiation and collaboration to enhance supply chain efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Assume responsibility for the compliance packaging and adherence to regulations associated with LTC dispensing. Ensure that all operational processes align with industry standards and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate LTC operations within the broader organizational framework.
- Foster a collaborative environment that aligns with organizational objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within LTC operations, leveraging technology, industry best practices, and innovation to enhance overall efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about changes in regulatory standards related to LTC operations. Implement necessary adjustments and ensure ongoing compliance with industry regulations.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on LTC operations, addressing concerns, and ensuring transparent and timely information flow.
- Provides initiative management leadership for assigned initiatives with FreseniusRx to achieve goals and objectives that contribute to the overall business strategy. Manages initiatives by working closely with various project contributors/team members and stakeholders.
- Responsible for driving solutions for business operations by working with cross-functional divisions that include Legal, Compliance, Government Affairs, Fresenius Kidney Care, and others as assigned.

SUPERVISION:
- Responsible for the indirect supervision of various levels of Operations staff.
EDUCATION:
- Pharmacy Degree from an accredited school of Pharmacyrequired; Advanced Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 10+ years LTC Pharmacy Operations Experience
- Proven leadership experience in establishing and overseeing Long-Term Care operations.
- Preferred Experience with State Medicaid
- In-depth knowledge of critical LTC functions, including Automation, Document Intake, Data Entry, Adjudication, and Prior Authorization.
- Strong understanding of compliance packaging and regulations associated with LTC dispensing.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with GPOs and other crucial LTC vendors.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
