The ideal candidate will own the vision and roadmap for delivering quality and process within the development organization. Ability to influence and lead organizations without direct reports is essential for this position.

Overview:
The ideal candidate will own the vision and roadmap for delivering quality and process within the development organization. Ability to influence and lead organizations without direct reports is essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Lead SDLC definition, evolution, coaching and adherence toward an Agile development process.
- Enable, facilitate, coach and measure the adoption of improved quality programs throughout development.
- Manage cross product capabilities (QA, Process Improvement, Dev tools)
- Manage teams through delivering results through effective leadership across product teams and across development sites as it pertains to QA and process improvement.
- Provide shared infrastructure, capabilities and training in the following areas:
- Tools
- Automated build and unit test tools
- Administer TFS
- Provide standards and infrastructure around Release Engineering
- Process
- Responsible for implementation and adherence
- Facilitate regular review of process improvement
- Publish metrics that monitor process, quality and efficiency of product development
- Quality
- Provide infrastructure and mentorship for improving testing
- Leadership in automated testing for best results
- Process quality metrics to management
- Tools
- 10+ years in software development with increasing levels of managerial and leadership responsibilities (this is a non negotiable requirement)
- BS in Engineering or Computer Science
- Experience managing development teams or QA teams as well as offshore vendors
- Proven process improvement initiatives
- Scrum, Kanban and other Agile techniques with demonstrated achievement of driving adoption.
- Experience with legacy as well as state of the art software stacks (such as .NET, Java, Oracle, SQL Server etc)
- Modern software quality assurance tools and methodologies such as automated testing, configuration management, agile development, etc.
- TFS (Team Foundation Server) and Configuration w/ Automation
