PURPOSE AND SCOPE: As a Senior Director of Training and Quality, the role involves visionary leadership within the organization and leveraging extensive expertise in pharmacy operations, encompassing training, quality, claims adjudication, prior authorization, and pharmacy management systems. Responsibilities include analyzing role-specific expectations across the broader business landscape. Subsequently, comprehensive training initiatives are crafted, formulated, and implemented based on quality analysis to align with achieving business goals. This position assumes a pivotal role as a strategic collaborator with the business, providing guidance, fostering partnerships, and delivering specialized proficiency across all tiers of the organizational hierarchy.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Senior Director of Training and Quality, this role is instrumental in advancing organizational excellence and ensuring the provision of top-tier pharmacy operations. Actively fosters the ongoing development of the workforce and the continual refinement of processes. Responsibilities span a broad spectrum of strategic and operational areas:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team responsible for pharmacy operations, training, and quality functions.
- Provide visionary leadership and set short- and long-term goals for pharmacy operations, training, and quality functions. Strategically align these goals with the company's mission and values, fostering positive change and organizational structure within the assigned business units.
- Collaborate with senior management to establish strategic plans for pharmacy operations, training, and quality functions.
- Make informed decisions on administrative, operational, and strategic matters impacting pharmacy operations, training, and quality initiatives.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency in training and quality functions.
- Drive change initiatives within pharmacy operations, training, and quality, ensuring smooth implementation and alignment across the organization.
- Establish key relationships with business stakeholders to develop and implement training programs supporting business objectives.
- Position pharmacy operations, training, and quality as essential partners, fostering collaboration and communication across departments and the broader organization.
- Lead the design and implementation of core training programs tailored to business needs.
- Direct the quality evaluation process, recommending changes based on data-driven insights.
- Oversee learning and quality management systems, policy management, and relevant applications.
- Oversee budget allocation and resource management for pharmacy operations, training, and quality initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies related to pharmacy operations, training, and quality.
- Participate in various projects and initiatives contributing to the organization's overall success.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the company's overall success.

SUPERVISION:
- May be responsible for the direct supervision of various levels of managerial and predominately exempt staff.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Pharmacy Degree from an accredited school of Pharmacy preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 10+ years’ related experience
- 8+ Years experience as a Manager
- Pharmacy Operations background preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead cohesive and productive teams
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business, scientific and technical journals, regulations, compliance guides, and legal documents
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with multiple departments. Ability to coordinate the development of educational and quality projects for key business stakeholders
- Experience leading the measurement of quality and training function including data capture, qualitative and quantitative measures
- Ability to provide strategic and tactical project updates to stakeholders, partners, customers, and senior leadership.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
