Job Description:
The Electrical Engineer supports the development, testing, fabrication, and fielding of highly complex military equipment
In this role, the Electrical Engineer: researches, plans, designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic and electrical systems and components
Utilizing advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures
Evaluates vendor capabilities, technologies, services and their ability to deliver required products or services The qualified candidate will work under general direction of a project engineering lead to perform electrical system design on a variety of military systems, ranging from combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions
The Electrical Engineer provides detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product application.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems that require a professional level of engineering knowledge
Experience in creating, reading, and comprehending schematics and interconnect drawings.
Ability to create and manage interface control documents
Ability to perform circuit simulation (PSpice or LTspice)
Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey data, information, and technical results to customers.
Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis
Experience developing technical documentation – such as drawings, reports, & technical analysis
Typically requires 3+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field or 2+ years with a Master's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with relevant military and commercial design standards
Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, LabVIEW
Familiarity with computer programming languages, e.g
C, C#, LabWindows/CVI
Working knowledge of OrCAD and Visio, circuit board schematic & layout tools
Familiarity with design for components in a high EMI environment
Systems Engineering and manufacturing knowledge
Knowledge of rechargeable batteries and battery management systems.
Experience with engineering design of wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for military systems.
Experience with integrating Field Programmable Gate Arrays and development of electronic control logic.
Experience with developing and integrating power generation, conversion and storage solutions.
Experience in the development and integration of ammunition handling/loading systems including autoloaders and large caliber rammer systems.
