About the Job
We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in HVAC, wastewater, and fire prevention systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering principles and a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for HVAC equipment, including power distribution, control panels, and wiring diagrams, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Plan, design, and oversee the installation of electrical components for wastewater treatment systems, such as pumps, motors, sensors, and instrumentation, while considering environmental impact and regulatory requirements.
- Design electrical systems for fire prevention equipment, such as fire alarms, smoke detectors, and fire suppression systems, to ensure the safety and protection of buildings, occupants, and assets.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall building designs.
- Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and cost estimates to determine the most suitable electrical solutions for clients' needs.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analysis to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Conduct site inspections, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities to ensure proper functioning and compliance of electrical systems.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to electrical engineering and building systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, ETAP) and familiarity with building automation systems (BAS).
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NFPA).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
