The Team:
We are an order fulfillment center for three unique customer channels. The largest business channel is Direct to Consumer and highly seasonal in nature with a large ramp up in capacity in the 4th quarter. In addition, we offer consumer services such as returns processing and an onsite doll care center, as well as value add services such as gift wrapping. The Distribution Center is part of the Mattel North American network of DC's and as such we work as a team to warehouse and transport inventory to balance capacity across the network and support partner Mattel business units.

What Your Impact Will Be:
The essential duties and responsibilities for Sr Equipment Maintenance Tech-Electrical or position include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Inspect on a routine basis electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues.
- Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem.
- Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment and other components so that they remain at full functioning capacity.
- Test systems with devices such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes and ohmmeters to ensure the system remains safe and that components are compatible.
- Review blueprints to understand the placement of wiring or to comprehend the working of the equipment to provide the right service and repairs.
- Utilize PLC software/programs to quickly diagnose conveyor and equipment outages.
- Provide suggestions on the lifespan of equipment and other electrical components, advising when certain components should be replaced due to potential risks.
- Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record of any supplies ordered and used.
- Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs
What We’re Looking For:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Knowledge and Skills
- Relevant electrician certifications
- Experience with PLC’s and other control equipment
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Familiar with the National Electrical Code
- Familiar with NFPA 70
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance or associated work
- Strong verbal and oral communication skills

The base hourly range for this position is $33.00- $39.00.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base hourly rate will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.**
