Your job is to collaborate with teams across the Dojo program to ensure that the hardware meets our high performance and reliability standards
As a validation engineer, you will be among the first users of newly developed Dojo products, and you will serve as the key knowledge holder of Dojo validation
You will identify product failures and drive corrective actions, all to ensure the long-term success of the Dojo platform.What You’ll DoOwn and develop detailed life cycle validation plans for low voltage electronic systems to be used in Tesla’s Dojo product lineIdentify key engineering questions and own experimental design that drive towards improvement of the understanding, characterization, quality and reliability of electronics productsDevelop custom infrastructure like PCBs, FW and software tools, to be used for product validation and production with features including sensors, power conversion and delivery, telemetry and data post processing functionalitiesDevelop and maintain automated test HW/SW to streamline execution, data collection and processingLead cross-functional effort between engineers, PMs, suppliers regarding failure analysis, RCA and fix recommendation efforts for failure modes identified over the life cycle of the product and representative validation phasesWhat You’ll BringDegree in Computer, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience4-7 years of experience in low voltage electronics design, validation with full cycle visibility from benchtop to post productionDemonstrated experience in electrical design and analysis using tools like Altium, Cadence, Ansys AEDT or equivalent softwareExcellent grasp of engineering fundamentals, and experience with standard lab equipment (power supplies, electronic loads, o-scopes, DMMs etc.)Experience with Linux systems and scripting experience with Python, bash etc
for test automation and data processingGenuine curiosity to figure out why something does not work and demonstrated experience in debugging and troubleshooting technical problemsEagerness to be hands-on, understand how to interact with a system and automate repeatable tasks
