Sr. Engineering Planning Specialist (On-site) at HEPCO, Inc.

Our client is seeking a Sr. Engineering Planning Specialist to support multiple Engineering Program teams. In this role, you will assist the Program Engineering Manager (PEM) and various Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads with managing cost, schedule, and performance for work directives. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining Project Planning Workbooks
• Supporting Control Account Manager (CAM) duties for work directives
• Engaging in risk management activities
• Maintaining program schedules and developing project plans
• Developing or reviewing estimates
• Monitoring work and expenditures to ensure adherence to schedule and budget
• Supporting program management reviews and Lifecycle Management activities
• Preparing status reports and other program documentation
• Developing and analyzing program metrics, including staffing levels
• Coordinating, proofreading, managing, and assembling program deliverables for the customer and internal reports

Skills Required

• Ability to work independently and develop solutions to complex issues
• Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills
• Strong analytical abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Skills Preferred

• Proficiency in PM Compass for monitoring earned value
• Experience with MS Project, Access, and Visio
• Ability to utilize Excel Pivot Tables and manipulate PowerBI-generated reports
• Technical knowledge of defense systems
• Experience working closely with engineers

Experience Required

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience
• Project management/project controls experience in scheduling, risk management, and planning
• Familiarity with program financial reporting and analysis

Experience Preferred

• Earned Value Management reporting
• Risk and opportunity management

Education Required

• Associate's Degree, preferably in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field
