About the Job
Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Field Service Engineer to join our Robotics team in Marietta, GA. This position will be responsible for preventative and unscheduled maintenance & repair of Yamaha's S.M.T. Equipment at customer facilities throughout the United States and international. Will be responsible to maintain the following sub systems; electronic, electrical, electro-magnetic, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, software install/upgrades, LAN, bar code, assist with programming and component library creation.
Report to customers' sites as needed and must be willing to work overtime upon request and will interface with site coordinator to perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance.

What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for addressing all service-related issues at customer sites and providing training to customers and new field engineers.
- Provides technical guidance to junior field engineers and customers.
- Responsible for performing system installations at customer sites and completing field service documentation utilized for tracking system reliability and customer billing.
- Responsible for documenting and submitting warranty claims.
- Will provide email and phone support as well as on site visits to troubleshoot issues and problems to maintain customer satisfaction and machine stability.
- Customer interface and communication skills are necessary for this position.
- Demonstrate strong work ethic. (On time to work and training, on time completion of assignments, strong preparation for assignments, effective teamwork, etc.).
What you ne to be successful:
- Minimum a two-year technical degree with emphasis on electronics or electromechanical devices.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in operation, programming, maintenance & repairing SMT manufacturing equipment (preferably in pick & place).
- Customer interface and communication skills are necessary for this position.
- Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry as applied to our equipment.
- Experience using digital volt meters, oscilloscopes, hand tools and computers.
- Able to integrate machines into networks, install & configure software.
- Ability to provide preventive maintenance and basic emergency service on specified instruments
