Overview:The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for financial reporting, planning, and analysis of Planet Fitness’s business segments. As our Sr. Financial Analyst, you will maintain and develop processes in support of departmental and business-segment reporting and forecasting. Additionally, by analyzing trends, key performance measures and financial results, you will identify and define opportunities to improve performance and positively impact results.
Responsibilities:• Collaborate with business leaders in preparing annual plans, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans across all business segments and all areas of the P&L including, revenue, operating & capital expenses, members, same store sales, and other KPIs.
• Perform variance analysis of results against plan, forecast and prior period and present this financial analysis to the executive leadership team.
• Build and maintain complex forecasting models and methodologies by reviewing historical trends and analyzing actual results against forecast drivers.
• Assist with the consolidation of financial results for the company’s annual and quarterly external SEC reporting.
• Develop, enhance and maintain internal reporting databases / platforms / tools.
• Execute ad-hoc analytic requests, database queries, and report generation as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or another quantitative field
• 2-4 years of experience in a corporate finance or planning/forecasting role, investment banking or consulting
• Strong strategic, technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Technical skills (finance & accounting fluency) and experience with Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to learn new database tools (Cognos, PowerBI, etc.)
• Extremely detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an exceptional ability to establish priorities and objectives
• Excellent presentation and communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
• Able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externally
• Dedicated learner with a natural curiosity for consistent growth
• Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
