Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst’s primary goal is to provide strategic direction, analysis and influence the respective Plant Managers of a given Business Segment on business performance: maximize operating income and cash flow generation. This includes analysis on incurred and forward-looking operational costs, capital investment decisions and working capital oversight. Other responsibilities encompass leading the accounting closing and financial reporting, variance analysis and financial planning on a month, quarter and year basis. Supplying timely and accurate information is a cornerstone of the role, critical success skills will be the ability to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to manage the business. Apply principles of cost accounting to conduct studies which provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems. Ensure proper adherence to company internal controls. This includes but is not limited to completion of SOX control protocols, inventory observations and reconciliations, and any other duties that may arise from time to time.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

- Prepare and analyze monthly forecast. Compare stated performance with operating plans and standards. Recommend operational adjustments to approach if required.
- Prepare reports which summarize and forecast business activity and financial position based on past, present, and expected operations.
- Analyze and prepare explanations of variances from budgets, forecasts, and other benchmarks.
- Prepare budgets, review budget proposals, forecasts, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification.
- Assist project managers with the information required to manage and forecast capital projects.
- Coordinate and complete transactions within Enterprise and Fixed Asset Systems to manage capital expenditure requisitions, closures, capitalization, depreciation, and retirement of assets.
- Provide management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities including capital approval and reporting.
- Support site personnel by translating financial knowledge into operational understanding and improvements.
- Assists Controller in the financial analysis of key business strategies and/or projects and make recommendations based on anticipated outcomes.
- Lead internal control program and interact with internal and external auditors on audit issues.
- Prepare closing work papers, make journal entries, complete cost statements during closing cycle.
- Monitor production inventory costing and levels.
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Modify, create, and automate processes to increase efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
- Support administrative departments as E1 system expert.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. MBA and/or CPA qualification is highly desirable.
- Six (6) or more years of experience in public accounting as an auditor, or in finance/accounting area. .
- Cost accounting experience, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Accounting ERP software – JD Edwards.
- Intermediate to advance level experience/exposure to Business Intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
