We invite you to apply for ourSr. Financial Analystopportunity in Overland Park, KS! The Sr. Financial Analyst – General Accounting is responsible for leading the coordination of Hill's annual 10K, financial oversight to Statutory Reporting, actively participating in the Hill's Global - Annual SOX program and being the subject matter expert for Balance Sheet Budget and Latest Estimate preparation and reporting. This role will also support Global and US Division project implementations, support and review intercompany transactions and manage analysis and postings for several areas, including US & International pensions and benefits & insurance postings.
What you will do:
Budgeting, Planning & Reporting (45%)
- Subject Matter Expert for Balance Sheet Budget and Latest estimate preparation and reporting – working with US and Global subsidiaries for their submissions, reviewing individual and consolidated reporting
- Leads the annual 10K consolidation, review and reporting to Colgate
- Supports Quarterly Consolidated CFN analysis and commentary
Compliance (20%)
- Actively participate in the Hill's Global - Annual SOX compliance program
- Partners to ensure that Management to Statutory reconciliations are prepared, reviewed and routed timely
Reviews, Analysis & Projects (20%)
- Manages analysis and postings for US & International pensions, benefits and insurance expenses
- Supports and reviews Intercompany transaction postings
- Supports Global and US Division project implementations
Additional Tasks (15%)
- SOX testing, balance sheet reconciliation preparation and banking access administrator
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree inFinance, Accounting, Business or a related field of study
- 5+ years of prior, successful finance and/or accounting work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of public accounting work experience
- At least 1 year Extensive working proficiency with SAP financial systems
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $91,200.00 - $128,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
