Responsibilities
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operations associated with assuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial data in the Planning Design & Construction (PDC) project management system for the CommonSpirit Health National Real Estate Services department. This position works closely with PDC leadership, Directors and Managers on identifying, managing and reporting construction project financial data. This position is also responsible for corporate project and departmental financial reporting, oversees project management system improvements and facilitates training of the project management system for the PDC team.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities
+ Works with management and PDC teams to assist with financial data gathering and/or interpretation. Ensures accuracy of financial information systems and maintenance of reporting. Ensures the integrity of statistical files in Projecto and other databases used for financial reporting.
+ Assists in identification and implementation of operating improvements and efficiencies by identifying important trends and variances through the review of project management reports and financial analysis. Educates users of the assigned reporting system on the utilization of reports and the functionality of those reports.
+ Understands and combines data from a variety data sources, including Projecto, to create and support meaningful project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and cash flow analyses for departmental team.
+ Communicates, educates, and facilitates training for project management software to users/customers in a clear and compelling manner, using written, verbal, and other mediums.
+ Collaborates with other users and leadership team members to understand capital project processes and makes system performance improvement recommendations.
+ Utilizes knowledge of Lawson, and other software programs to support project findings and make recommendations to PDC project teams.
+ Supports PDC team in purchasing and accounts payable projects issues. Works with internal CommonSpirit Health departments to resolve ongoing data issues and monitors resolutions.
+ Participates weekly, monthly and quarterly on project reporting, as well as annual capital planning initiative with department and system leaders.
+ Assists PDC management in identification and implementation of key metrics utilizing project management system software, external benchmarks, and internal data, by identifying important trends and variances through the review of management reports and financial analysis.
+ Provides guidance to project financial analysts on the team.
+ Other job-related duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration and/or equivalent experience required.
Experience (7+ years): experience working with multiple systems, project management applications, reporting systems and accounting systems; experience in construction projects and working with project management teams; and experience and knowledge of accounting/finance terminology and reporting.
Working knowledge of Lawson accounting system a plus.
Working knowledge of Wizard Software Projecto project management application a plus.
Advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel proficiency required). Google Workspace experience a plus.
Highly skilled in developing and maintaining spreadsheets in MS Excel, including pivot tables and detailed data management.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize, coordinate and analyze complex data.
Excellent ability to sort through issues, conduct comparative analysis of multiple solutions, and make effective decisions.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong ability to prioritize, balance workflow, and ensure deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, multi-task and also work in a team environment.
Pay Range
$33.60 - $48.73 /hour
