ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Industrial Hygiene Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace (AERO) in Clearwater, FL, you will be accountable for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to identify and mitigate workplace hazards, comply with regulatory requirements, and promote a culture of safety and well-being.
You will report directly to our HSE Director and work out of our Clearwater, FL plant in person.
In this role, you will have a direct impact on the health and safety of our employees by assessing workplace hazards, developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting regular inspections and audits, and providing training and education on health and safety best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Develop and implement comprehensive industrial hygiene strategies to identify and mitigate workplace hazards
+ Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
+ Provide training and education on health and safety best practices to employees and management
+ Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety programs and initiatives
+ Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
+ Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in industrial hygiene
+ Other duties as assigned
U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
YOU MUST HAVE
+ 5+ years of experience in industrial hygiene or occupational health and safety
+ High school diploma or equivalent
WE VALUE
+ Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
+ Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation
+ Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices
+ Excellent communication and people-oriented skills
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles
+ Strong problem-solving and thoughtful skills
