Overview:
Our IT team is growing! We are adding a Sr. Infrastructure Systems Engineer to our team. This position can be worked remotely with travel as needed.
The System Engineer will be responsible for the Design and Deployment of the following technologies: VMware, SANs, Veeam, Windows Server 2008/12/16/19, Exchange/Exchange Online, Active Directory, SCCM, and Azure.

Responsibilities:In this job you will:
- Act as a senior point of escalation, technical advisor and mentor for other systems engineers.
- Maintain, manage, and support the IT infrastructure environment for the entire company, across multiple locations.
- Be responsible for Datacenter systems infrastructure including; Vmware, SAN, and Blade Chassis.
- Manage and build out Azure environment.
- Manage Exchange/O365 environments.
- Automation of Systems and processes.
- Be responsible for all Microsoft Windows Server system support including; Security, Active Directory and TCP/IP based network services.
- Need to be able to work independently to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, identify and isolate technical issues.
- Work closely with other development and infrastructure teams to evolve legacy systems with modern, cloud-native design.
- Lead/Work on system initiatives and new projects.
- Monitor system health, performance and availability.
- Resolve errors and alarms quickly.
- Support process improvements.
- Conduct after-hours maintenance as needed.
- Resolve all escalated support tickets.
To be successful you will need:
- 5+ years work experience as a Systems Engineer.
- Core Infrastructure Experience - Windows Server, Linux, Advanced Active directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Performance tuning, patching, Backup and DR.
- Understanding of and experience with VMware, SANs, Veeam, and Blade Chassis.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Exchange/Exchange Online architecture, services and support.
- Practical understanding of networking - routing, subnets, UDP, TCP, IP and VLANs.
- Must have experience using monitoring software such as Solarwinds to collect and manage events and system status.
- Must have strong communication skills and ability to work individually, within a team, with other groups and with customers.
- Must have ability to communicate complex technical problems concisely and professionally to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Previous experience with providing support for remotely connected customers and the associated technologies (e.g., Citrix, RDS, Cisco etc.) is required.
- Understanding of or experience with backup software and recovery strategies.
