Sr. JAVA Developer
Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Rate: DOE

Required:

• Java application developer position, on the Retail Engineering Platform/API team. Building out API's and integrations with Java/Kotlin and restful API's.
• Developing REST service using Kotlin following Domain Driven Design Pattern
• Developing Microservices using Micronaut framework
• Using Kafka for messaging
• Caching with Elasticsearch and Hazel Cast
• Creating documentation for the existing API using Swagger and Open Spectacle
• Writing automated unit and integration tests
• updating build pipelines

• Java
• Restful API experience
• Strong Plus - Kotlin

• Experience with Java development
• Experience with RESTful design and principles

• Kotlin
• Understanding of design principles including SOLID and CQRS
• Experience with server-side technologies such as Elasticsearch, hazel cast, memcache
• Experience with code and artifact repositories such as git and nexus
• Experience building event-based systems using components such as queues and Kafka
• Experience building reactive and message-based systems
• Experience with microservices and containers
• Experience with Agile
• Bachelor's degree in computer science/applications, information systems, engineering, or equivalent higher degree
• Relevant software applications development as described in the Job Duties
• Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and implements simple to moderate software applications
