Description & Requirements
ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Linux System Administrator to join our team in the Laurel, Maryland location.
Responsibilities include but not limited to :
+ Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.
+ Configure and manage LINUX and Solaris operating systems.
+ Installs/loads operating systems software.
+ Troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components.
+ Implement operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Shall have a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
+ A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in technical discipline is required. Five Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ The ability to troubleshoot higher level problems and resolve complex technical issues where documentation is either lacking or non-existent.
+ Experience in implementing solutions with PKI-controlled access is desired.
+ Understanding networking components is desired.
Clearance Requirements:
+ Must have a current active TS/SCI w/Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
+ Bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, light work up to 20 lbs., reaching, repetitive motions, sedentary work, walking, working with data, ability to handle stress & work under pressure, ability to use MS Office, ability to use a PC, analytical or critical thinking skills, interpersonal & people skills, leadership skills, listening skills, multi-tasking ability, oral & written communication skills, organizational skills.

The projected compensation range for this position is $121,800.00-$204,100.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
