The world’s leading specialist engineering contractor for low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) projects has an immediate a need for a Senior Machinery Technologist Specialist in gear pumps, extruders and pelletizers within polyolefins (HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE, EVA, POE, etc.) manufacturing operations.

- This position reports directly to the Polyolefin Solutions Business Unit Director
- Provide input as a lead mechanical engineer on the definition on gear pumps, extruders and pelletizers among different technologies and, mainly, to provide feedback on vendor proposals for greenfield projects.
- Provide input as a lead mechanical engineer as consultant on reliability issues, optimizations, upgrades, etc. for brownfield projects.
- Review and develop operational procedures for gear pumps, extruders and pelletizers as necessary for each project.
- Review technical inquiry documents (requisitions, datasheets/specifications, etc)
- Review supplier technical quotes and prepare technical bid analysis
- Travel to witness inspections.
- Attend/run post order kick off meetings
- Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical Engineering is required.
- 10 years as a production | maintenance engineer for machinery technology with polyolefin (HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE, EVA, POE, etc.) manufacturing environment.
- First hand experience is required with operations and maintenance of extruders, pelletizers and gear pumps.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Must be capable of working a part of a close-knit small core team as well as being self-reliant with the confidence to make decisions acting on their own initiative.
- Organized with the ability to support multiple concurrent projects.
- Accountable, confident, bright, articulate, innovative, highly motivated, and self-starter with a high energy level that performs with the highest integrity.
- Knowledge and understanding of industry codes, product safety standards, regulations, etc.
