Sr. Manager, Assembly Operations - Lennox International

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Manages resources and priorities in order to fabricate, assemble and deliver manufactured goods for final distribution.
• Interfaces with support organizations as necessary to deliver a timely quality product.
• Drives continuos improvement of plant metrics: productivity, safety, delivery, quality and cost containment.
• Oversees the daily production operations of the plant.
• Monitors operations for efficiency and safety, ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Provides strategic guidance to Area Leaders who are responsible for tactical implementation of production plans.
• Oversees development of production schedules to meet internal goals as well as expectations of customers.
• Oversees production staff, including hiring/training of personnel.
• Provides leadership in implementing Lean continuous improvement actions.
• Directs plant layout and arrangement o facilities, equipment for optimization of production.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 8 years related experience.
• Requires at least 3 years experience as a manager.
• Knows best practices and procedures for managing manufacturing facilities.
• Requires excellent leadership and team building skills.
• Knowledgeable about fiscal control, budget forecasting, standardized metrics and achievement in performance to plan.
• Excellent decision making and creative problem solving skills.
• A steady performer under pressure.
• Requires computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Requires expertise in customer service.
• Requires good verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires strong knowledge of and commitment to Continuous Improvement.

Top candidates will also have:

• Proven background in running a manufacturing facility above just plant operations.
• Ability to coordinate materials, quality, safety, finance, etc into a high performance business. A wide degree of creativity and latitude.
