Job Summary:
The Data Center Manager is in charge of overseeing the operations of the data center within the organization including 24x7 support; maintaining hardware, software, networking and security components; planning for capacity; resolving issues associated with security, availability and access.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
- Prepare plans for development and installation of data center according to requirements
- Monitor all software and hardware products and ensure compliance to Data Center, IT process and security standards
- Administer installation and maintenance of organization data center
- Ensure effective and efficient management of day to day data center operations including 7/24 shift arrangement
- Monitor all activities and related to analysis and implement all data center plans
- Supervise designing and evaluation of all server systems according to measurement of process
- Perform troubleshoot on data center, identify issues and timely resolution
- Ensure adherence to all established guidelines and management practices
- Coordinate with various departments and perform integration of systems into data center
- Coordinate, schedule and document change requirements
- Coordinate with business teams and develop strategies to ensure data center capacity
- Driving completion of service requests, incident and problem tickets
- Ensure delivery of expected update and performance requirements
- Ensure client satisfaction and provide optimal level of customer service
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, relevant discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years in data center operations and management
- Expert in IT infrastructure operations, operating systems, configurations and applications, tools, and service processes used within the organization
- Working experience in Configuration Management over IT assets and components by maintaining information about the configuration items, including hardware, software, documentation, network, and data center facilities
- Working knowledge in understanding Infrastructure Architecture, frameworks and principles on security, networks, systems, equipment and resources
- Knowledge with corporate, industry and professional standards, policies, regulations, compliance and codes of conduct associated with the role
- Good coordination, organization, communication and customer service skills
Salary Range
$164,000- $221,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
