Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Data Science to lead our data science team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling, with a proven track record of driving business insights and innovation through data. This role requires excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The primary focus will be on solving business problems and driving results through advanced analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of data scientists, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement data science strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and algorithms.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of data used for analysis and modeling.
• Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
• Utilize advanced analytics to solve business problems and drive measurable results.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies.
• High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions in an extremely fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data science, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
• Strong experience with machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g., SAS, Python, Alteryx, SQL).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions that drive business impact.
• Proven cross-functional leadership experience with the ability to develop teams and lead them to success.
