We are searching for a Senior Manager, Environmental, Health, & Safety to join our team. The Senior Manager, Environment, Health & Safety is ultimately responsible for having an effective workplace safety program and culture in place. This position directs the resources and activities of the organization to support the Safety programs and initiatives by providing advice and guidance to company management and senior management. The Senior Manager, EHS is people focused and partners with Operations to drive a safe, world class organization.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, implement, and enhance enterprise-wide health & safety strategies aligned with industry best practices, defining short- and long-term objectives and tactical plans to reach goals
- Maintain and improve safety standards, reducing risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Assess and optimize health & safety organizational structures, training, and accountability models
- Lead global task forces on health & safety initiatives, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Provide expertise and guidance to enhance safety programs globally, leveraging best practices and resources
- Support safety initiatives for new acquisitions and maintain performance within existing facilities
- Lead business continuity planning, aligning it with global resiliency efforts
- Communicate safety messages effectively through various channels, including newsletters and social media
- Manage the Worker's Compensation Program, focusing on accident prevention and effective case management
- Coordinate with HR on leave administration and corrective actions related to work-related incidents
- Conduct thorough accident investigations and develop preventive measures
- Ensure compliance with safety standards through site reviews, audits, and training, reporting to senior leadership regularly
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, industrial safety, safety engineering, or related field
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
- Minimum 8 years of progressive safety management experience in a manufacturing environment, including 5 years in a managerial role
- Experience in implementing cultural transformations and turnaround initiatives
- Proficiency in interpreting and enforcing OSHA and Workers’ Compensation regulations
- Track record of successfully implementing STOP Safety Program and driving behavioral cultural change
- Familiarity with Safety Management Systems, ISO 9001/14001/18001, and their implementation for program sustainability
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills across all organizational levels

If this is a remote position, the pay scale disclosed herein may be adjusted further based upon the applicable geographic differential associated with the location from which the successful candidate will work. Please note that it is not typical for a Fender employee to be at or near the top of the pay scale for their role – especially as a new hire – and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Subject to the foregoing, the current pay scale for this position is $130,000.00 to $155,000.00 per year.
