About Your Next Opportunity:
HTC VIVE is hiring a Sr. Manager, Global PR to play a pivotal role in our communications team. This role involves executing media engagement strategies, managing product launches, overseeing reviews, and collaborating with our Global Communications and Social Media team to share the remarkable story of how HTC is making the impossible possible.
The ideal candidate will bring relevant industry experience, a proven track record in high-impact communications, a passion for social media communications and activations, and strong relationships with top-tier media outlets and reporters.

Your Impact:
Strategy & Planning:
- Execute the communications plan for the business and various media/analyst targets (gaming, tech, enterprise, consumer).
- Develop and manage the PR plan that regions contribute to and align with.
- Coordinate and execute storytelling opportunities for VIVE's enterprise partners across the globe.
- Work to elevate the company's profile by securing critical media engagement opportunities for HTC spokespeople.
- Ensure integration across other disciplines, e.g., social, digital, and partner marketing.
- Define a global media strategy and a sustainable coverage plan.
- Develop pitch concepts and assets to ensure consistency across regional PR teams.
- Contribute to media coverage through existing relationships and outreach efforts with elite media targets.
- Work with partners to ensure message inclusion and prominent positioning within HTC-related activities and communications.
- Drive the VR industry forward with compelling storytelling, thought leadership, and teamwork.
- Conduct effective issues preparedness/management (crisis comms) to protect corporate brand and company reputation.
- Drive organic social media programs, including managing day-to-day publishing, monitoring, moderation, and strategies to increase followers and engagement across all social channels.
- Track and monitor PR and social media performance and trends, and report actionable insights and KPIs regularly.
- Assist in planning and maintaining the monthly social editorial calendar to drive brand awareness and consideration, developing and implementing strategies that invite and increase community participation.
- Develop creative requests and briefs for social-driven campaigns and activations.
Events:
- Develop the communications strategy for key events, such as product launches, industry events, and trade shows.
- Develop the media and executive materials, such as releases and talking points.
- Responsible for ensuring global outreach coordination and coverage results.
- Responsible for launch event ideation, planning, and execution.
- Responsible for integrating HTC into key industry and partner events communications.
- Define program and initiative.
KPIs:
- Track and evaluate coverage and program impact toward KPIs.
- Communicate activities, results, and impact back into the organization.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of corporate communications and storytelling experience in an international organization, preferably in gaming and/or consumer electronics; startup experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality, and/or other web 3.0 technologies.
- Deep understanding of the media and social media landscape, outlets, and demonstrable relationships in gaming, tech, business, and consumer.
- Strong cross-team collaboration; ability to influence cross-organizationally and at the executive level.
- A sense of urgency, unrelenting attention to detail, and a strong need for excellence.

- Exceptional organizational, writing, and project management skills.

Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Primary work location is indoors.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and long periods of detailed work with VR equipment.

At the time of posting, HTC's estimated annual base salary for this position is $125,350 - $136,400 USD. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including candidate skills, qualifications, experience, business needs, and geographic location. This position is also eligible for participation in our discretionary bonus programs.
