About the Job
As a Senior Manager, Portfolio Management and Governance, you will play a critical role in overseeing the organization’s technology portfolio governance and managing the program and project management office. This role is accountable for the end-to-end management, organization, and execution of critical projects that have a significant impact on our business performance, as well as the governance processes that ensure projects are being managed with appropriate thought to resourcing, timelines, and risk and change management. With a specific emphasis on data-driven decision-making, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing Ops/R&D, Commercial Operations, Marketing, Sales, and other relevant departments to ensure the successful IT governance, planning, coordination, and delivery of projects that drive business growth and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership:
- Provide input to technology strategy execution in alignment with department and company goals and objectives.
- Provide direct leadership for IT governance, as well as a team of project and program managers.
- Create and deliver executive-level communications and status updates on the technology modernization portfolio.
- Drive long-term strategic planning for core platform technology initiatives.
- Shape the future of the organization’s technology landscape.
- Portfolio Governance:
- Oversee the technology portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Analyze and report on portfolio investments to facilitate effective decision-making.
- Manage risks and prioritize projects based on business impact.
- Program and Project Management:
- Coach and mentor program and project leads.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.
- Relationship Management:
- Cultivate productive relationships with business users and their leaders.
- Provide leadership to support professionals (employees, contract employees, and vendors) both in technology and the business.
- Technical Expertise:
- Have a deep understanding of the company’s technology landscape to support key technology decisions and prioritization most effectively.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration).
- Proven experience in technology leadership, platform management, or service delivery.
- Strong understanding of core platforms (ERP, CRM, etc.) and modern service-oriented architectures.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
