Johnson & Johnson, Inc. is recruiting for a Sr. Manager, Strategic Accounts - Federal Government within the National Accounts Team for Johnson & Johnson MedTech. This customer facing position can be located anywhere within the United States.

The Sr. Manager Strategic Accounts (MSA) role is responsible for contributing to and executing the Federal Government team's overall strategy which includes, business unit contracting, multi-business unit pricing agreements, value-based programs and initiatives within the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DOD) and the Public Health Service (PHS). The MSA coordinates all J&J MedTech contracting, including Ethicon, DePuy Synthes, and Biosense Webster, and account planning with the Field Sales Organization(s) and internal J&J business partners including the Deal Desk, Legal, JJHCS, Compliance, Finance, etc. The MSA also teams and provides insights/guidance to the broader JNJ organizations.
R esponsibilities:
- Reports to the Director Strategic Accounts - Federal Government for JJMT and is responsible for the contracting, pricing and daily contract management of the Department of Veteran Affairs, Department of Defense, and the Public Health System.
- A key contact for the A. DePuy Synthes Franchises in the oversight/ownership of the business with Federal customers including all government contracts such as ECAT, National IDIQs, CEC, BPAs and other agreements or B. the Ethicon MedSurg Prime Vendor (MSPV) contract, DAPA, Medical Surgical FSS and the Biosurgery Pharmaceutical FSS.
- A key contributor to the annual JJMT Fed Govt Channel strategy development, to include pricing, contract & administration and offer development for the VA, DoD and the Indian Health Service (IHS).
- Acts as a liaison between Field Sales, Marketing, Deal Desk, Legal, Compliance and the JJHCS Govt Contracting team, to ensure strategy alignment/execution. Identifies, elevates, and resolves any local, regional and or national customer engagement and transactional challenges.
- Develops and maintains mutually beneficial business relationships with targeted national government agencies, developing a deep understanding of the customers unique needs.
- Pulls through on a thorough business plan that drives achievement of business growth, key metrics and customer value.
- Helps develop and implement relevant channel access strategies, including utilization of SDVOSBs.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

• Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year

• Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA - preferred.
- Relevant medical device (orthopedics, surgery,) product knowledge- preferred.
- Understanding of the digital / robotics market - preferred.
- 10 Years of health care business experience - required.
- Knowledge of government marketplace, regulations and procedural policies - preferred.
- Strategic thinking skills (problem solving skills in complex negotiations) - required.
- Experience developing strategic contracting proposals and successfully executing customer negotiations - required.
- Financial acumen, with an understanding of gross profit, erosion, pricing impact - required.
- Experience working in a highly matrixed environment and influencing across multiple stakeholder groups with an enterprise mindset - required.
