Individual contributor role responsible for providing marketing support to National Practice Group (NPG) advisor teams. This role serves as a primary contact for their advisor teams, providing overall marketing support and relationship management in partnership with their Marketing Strategist. This role will partner closely with the Marketing Strategist to support the development and execution of tailored marketing plans and resources designed to help support the unique growth goals of the NPG practices. A key function of this role is to serve as a project manager and liaison between the NPG teams and the dedicated Creative (design and copy) and Compliance partners, helping with new content/project development from start to finish.
The Sr. Marketing Specialist leverages data and analytics to drive key business decisions, recommendations and to continuously improve marketing results on behalf of their NPG teams and the platform. This position provides leadership to medium sized work streams or participates as a team member on larger or more complex work streams, projects and initiatives that engage cross-organizational team members. The senior specialist role is responsible for some level of strategic development, as well as execution of tactics.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
+ Works directly with premier field resources to support marketing development designed to grow and sustain successful practices. Provides assistance with developing client acquisition, service and retention strategies; enables implementation of marketing plans, advertisement, and digital strategies; acts as liaison with creative, compliance and other internal groups to provide superior experience.
+ Leverages market data and analytics to influence success of marketing programs/initiatives and to continuously improve upon marketing results. Gathers field, member and stakeholder feedback to ensure alignment and to optimize effectiveness. Continues to build marketing intelligence through external and internal data sources.
+ Uses vertical marketing expertise/experience to contribute to larger marketing initiatives and projects. May be charged with leading cross- sub-teams and work streams and providing work direction in support of larger marketing initiatives. Leverages experience to drive development that aligns with key corporate strategies and initiatives.
+ Contributes to the development of marketing strategies that support the organizational brand and Go-To-Market strategies; responsible for development of actionable tactics that support brand recognition and affinity, productivity and new member growth. Plans and creates positioning of brand to select market segments through multiple communication channels.
+ Continuously seeks ways to leverage technology to drive more effective and impactful marketing strategies and tactics and to help drive corporate CRM and event management strategies.
+ Plans, creates and/or produces content on social networking websites, interactive marketing related media.
+ Develop trusted relationships with key internal/external stakeholders to collaborate and contribute to branding and distribution of member offers that attract target segments, drive membership engagement
Required Job Qualifications
+ 5 – 7 years marketing or related experience
+ College degree in marketing or related field; masters a plus but not required.
+ Experience in a specialized area of marketing (direct marketing, e-marketing, communications, analytics, brand positioning, social networking media, etc.) and/or project/program management.
+ Excellent communication skills and exceptional customer service mindset.
+ Demonstrates strong project management and collaboration skills
+ Applies a development mindset that uses creativity and marketing expertise to develop new, more effective and more efficient marketing approaches.
+ Experience in digital marketing

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $81,887.00 - $110,789.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
