You'll be joining the Tualatin Manufacturing Training Team, helping to enable our employees to support the delivery of our products to meet Lam’s customer commitments.
Lam’s Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Training loves to learn and teach, collaborates well with others, shares knowledge, and enjoys creating processes to ensure an enhanced learner experience. Success in the role requires strong leadership, program management and organizational skills; being self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to seek answers and drive solutions; and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships at all levels with local and global partners.
In this role, you and your team will coordinate and deliver training content to new and existing Lam Manufacturing employees. You will have an opportunity to combine a passion for training with leading and developing a diverse team that focuses on training delivery, program management, LMS administration with dotted line relationships with the Global Manufacturing Academy. You will lead the development of the Tualatin Training Team local execution strategy and contribute to creating alignment with global strategies across the Manufacturing Factory Network. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Manufacturing in Tualatin.
The successful candidate is an experienced people leader who is familiar with the execution, of technical training onboarding and upskilling programs. In addition, candidates must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, have a passion for learning, and be committed to developing and retaining top training delivery, program management, and coordination talent.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage the Tualatin Technical Training Team to deploy global and local programs to support the dynamic needs of manufacturing and to maximize productivity
- Hire, develop, and retain a team of learning professionals to ensure training acumen and adult learning expertise advances in the organization to support manufacturing objectives
- Act as a strategic partner with site leadership and partner groups to ensure learning solutions are in alignment with organizational priorities
- Actively participate and represent the Tualatin training center as a member of the Cross-Factory Core Team for Manufacturing Academy global collaboration
- Deploy and execute globally aligned training standards, processes, KPIs, and records management strategy in Tualatin Manufacturing
- Work with the global Manufacturing Academy to provide feedback on effectiveness of global and local programs for future improvements to content and accompanying materials
- Monitor program effectiveness and deliver learning analytics to demonstrate ROI to site and Manufacturing Academy and site-level leaders
- Proactively ensure the coordination of training delivery and that the team is adequately staffed for uninterrupted execution especially during hiring ramps

Success in this role requires being action-oriented and customer-focused, adjusting to changing priorities, and working independently while maintaining a high degree of accountability and accuracy of work.
Additional skills and experience beneficial for this role include experience supporting manufacturing environments, knowledge of SAP or other production systems, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and LMS programs such as Cornerstone on Demand.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent, relevant experience is required with 6-8 years of management experience in a learning environment. An advanced degree preferred.
- Instructional design experience with deep understanding of learning and development principles and methodologies
- Capable of inspiring trust and confidence through effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to respond quickly to changes and urgent requests and to adjust approaches to align with business needs.
- Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams, partner with other groups and meet program objectives
- Must be willing to work full-time, onsite at Lam’s Tualatin manufacturing facility
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% (includes domestic and international)

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
