Summary
AXS is looking for a talented Mobile Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team in Los Angeles. You'll help drive quality on our next-generation Mobile App product (AXS app Redesign) for our fans and business clients in live entertainment. Short term contract role with huge impact. Partnering with fellow offshore Test Engineers (2), product owners, engineers, and others, you’ll provide key Quality Assurance support at all stages of our product lifecycle.
A day in the life…
- You would perform both white box and black box testing to verify products meet or exceed specifications and quality objectives.
- You would be Involved in requirements analysis, test planning activities, test case automation and execution of critical test cases/scripts required to ensure that the software meets business requirements on Agile team alongside development.
- Functional Testing levels may include application, integration and acceptance testing; may also include non-functional testing such as performance, volume, load and fallback.
- Verify builds for release both manually and via automation.
- Provide accurate and timely status reports of current work progress.
Qualifications
- BA or BS in Computer Science or related area/equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience in Mobile Application testing (API, UI and Functional both Manual and Automation)
- Familiarity with leading Mobile app development and testing tools
- Advanced knowledge of QA and Test Engineering best practices and concepts
- Strong workplace skills, with the ability to clearly communicate, collaborate, estimate, and multitask while overseeing and actively participating in development of the mobile test suites including but not limited to smoke, sanity, regression, user experience across both iOS and Android apps.
- The ability to use critical thinking to translate requirements, user-centered goals, and analytical user data into test cases and scenarios
- Ability to learn a domain and implement best practices to test the domain
- Tools that are nice to have: Charles, Jenkins, Jira, Test Rail, Test Ferry, Appium
- Previous small team lead experience with offshore resources preferred

- Compensation: Depends on Experience (Market rate)
