Sr .Net/API Developer
Location: Whitehouse station, NJ
Duration: 6+ months Contract to hire
Job description:
We are looking for a Lead API developer to join Comptech Associates's digital program to support some of the forward looking user experience solutions being built. This role will be 60% hands on development with 40% Team Lead responsibilities. This individual will be partnering with architects and technical leads from other functional areas as well as playing the role of a technical lead for a group of developers. You will be required to bring the team together and drive development standards and work to deliver quality software. You will also get the opportunity to lead and influence technical directions in a collaborative way.
Position Summary / Responsibilities:
• Hands-on development using .NET technologies
• Debug and resolve any challenges with the applications
• Involvement in full development life cycle. Design, Coding, test, build, QA, deployment and maintenance.
• Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills
• Influence/encourage team to build solutions with quality and confined to architecture
• Work with business partners to understand functional requirements and translate into consumable technical stories
Position Qualifications:
• 8-10 years relevant work experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in DevOps tool stack including GitHub and TFS, VSTS, Jenkins, ReadyAPI, Soap Service, Jira etc..
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Web Services, Application Infrastructure, XML/XSL, Scripting, API Management, Micro Services, Containers, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Entity framework and Azure Cloud Services
• Excellent written/verbal skills
• Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word required.
• Works successfully in a team environment and independently
• Ability to quickly adapt to change
• Demonstrated ability to meet commitments under pressure
• Works effectively with colleagues at all levels
• Ability to take full ownership of work and show initia
