The role you’ll contribute:
The recognition of revenue in healthcare is a high risk, estimation process requiring significant oversight, standard methodologies, and frequent analysis to ensure accurate estimates are achieved. The Senior Financial Analyst – Net Revenue will be located at the AdventHealth corporate headquarters and be responsible for performing and providing oversight over the centralized procedures around the net patient service revenue calculations. This includes the hospital net revenue calculation within the Crowe Revenue Cycle Analytics (RCA) tool, the non-hospital Excel net revenue template and performing hindsight/lookback analysis to validate the net revenue estimation process. Candidates should have a strong desire to obtain an understanding of the application of healthcare revenue estimates in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This role requires a strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to follow detailed process documentation, dedication to prioritize to meet deadlines and a desire to identify and recommend process improvements. Also, it will require the ability to accomplish department objectives by supervising staff through organizing and monitoring work processes.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
· Assist with the preparation and oversight of the net revenue pre-close and close procedures within the Crowe RCA tool on a monthly basis. This primarily includes:
− Perform and review routine centralized reserve calculations within the Crowe RCA tool, prepare calculations for any necessary manual adjustments and maintain documentation of the process used.
− Utilize Excel for analyzing Crowe RCA reporting and use/develop templates to streamline routine processes.
− Generate and maintain reports from the Crowe RCA tool for the month end close process, internal audits and external audits.
− Assist the facilities in analyzing the net revenue results from the Crowe RCA tool as needed.
· Review the daily reconciliation prepared by the Net Revenue Analyst to monitor the data feeds from the patient accounting system into the Crowe RCA tool.
· Through identifying and weighing available options, apply discretion, independent thinking, and judgment during resolution of net revenue discrepancies
· Identify and help resolve problems in the net revenue accounting processes and when appropriate, identify potential outcomes, select most appropriate course of action, and initiate change to prevent future problems or improve existing processes
· Endorse a team centered environment and mentor the Net Revenue Analysts in developing a better understanding of the Crowe RCA tool and net revenue process through supervision of their work and providing timely feedback.
· Organizing workflow and providing oversight of Net Revenue Analysts’ duties or delegated tasks.
· Maintain the standard non-hospital Excel template for the physician and home health service lines. Work with the Net Revenue Manager to process and review changes to the Excel template and draft communication of the changes to facility leadership.
· Coordinate with peers and facility finance and accounting teams to understand the needs of the end user and prepare instructions/templates for net revenue process for both the Net Revenue department and facilities.
· Develop relationships with other corporate service departments, such as Revenue Cycle, Physician Enterprise and AdventHealth Information Technology (AIT), as it relates to net revenue. Work closely with these groups to ensure integrity of the net revenue data and related statistics.
· Work directly with facility finance and accounting teams for transitioning the legacy system accounts receivable to an AdventHealth standard net revenue template and implementing the Crowe RCA tool for hospital acquisitions upon conversion to the AdventHealth standard patient accounting system.
· Validate AdventHealth’s allowance methodology via the performance of a hindsight or lookback analysis. Review the hindsight analysis prepared by Net Revenue Analyst and provide thought leadership on tackling complex issues. Communicate hindsight results to facility leadership and ensure documentation is maintained for the review of the external auditors.
· Strive to continuously improve existing knowledge over the estimation, reporting and analysis of net revenue.
· Effectively present and communicate net revenue issues and analysis to facility leadership, peers, internal and external auditors.
· Lead special revenue projects as assigned (i.e. accounts receivable securitization, finance analysis of revenue issues).
· Minimal travel (10% or less) with advanced notice.
· Ability to work extended hours during month end close and as project deadlines require.
· Achieve superior customer satisfaction by embracing and exemplifying the AdventHealth service standards
· Perform other duties as assigned
