SUMMARY: As a seasoned professional, the Network Administrator will research, install, and maintain our organization’s network infrastructure, tools, technologies, and services. This position will monitor network performance to ensure infrastructure, access controls, and security standards and practices are in place to effectively minimize risks for the enterprise and improve overall network availability and security posture. An individual in this role will participate in implementing network infrastructure initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards, investigating, troubleshooting, and responding to incidents related to policy violations, security breaches, threats, and attacks, and resolving network connectivity and speed issues. A successful individual in this role will exhibit a high degree of passion, self-motivation, and the ability to interact and communicate well with a diverse population of end-users and vendors and deliver superior customer service.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Salary Range - 124,000-134,000 annually

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Install, configure, and administer networking hardware, including servers, routers, switches, and cabling.
- Configure and monitor network servers using VLAN, DHCP, DNS, IP Subnetting, VPN, IPsec Tunnel, ACL, and 1-1NAT.
- Implement and customize network infrastructure for secure and efficient connectivity using firewalls, switches, access points, UPS, PDU, MDF, IDF, and MPOE.
- Perform routine network, server, and security monitoring and performance benchmarking.
- Develop and examine network diagrams.
- Research and obtain vendor quotes for technology and equipment needs, collaborating with vendors on implementation, functionality, and maintenance.
- Monitor networking operations and technologies, respond to potential threats, and establish standards for response and remediation.
- Maintain and update networking technologies, regularly patching devices to safeguard against vulnerabilities and enhance security.
- Conduct regular security audits and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
- Provide technical support and training for users on network-related issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, procedures, and standards.
- Generate reports on network performance, security, and uptime.
- Collaborate with IT teams, management, and vendors to align network solutions with business objectives.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience administering networking infrastructure and implementing networking projects or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience with incident response management, next-gen firewalls, web application firewalls, multi-factor authentication, data loss prevention, and disaster recovery.
- Proven experience managing and supporting enterprise networks with strong technical knowledge of network and application systems security, configuration, and connectivity optimization.
- Strong knowledge of the Linux Operating System via Command line to support network device configuration, updates, and backup for Disaster Recovery purposes.
- Certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network, or similar are preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and quality guidelines (GxP) is a plus.
- Ability to exhibit passion, self-motivation, and successful interaction/communication with a diverse population of end-users and vendors.
- Ability to effectively and thoroughly troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to work nights and weekends to provide support as needed.
