Summary:

Primary responsibilities include all planning, design, implementation, optimization and maintenance of the network Will form and follow a standards-based architecture and design philosophy to assure the overall health, security and scalability of the network infrastructure

Essential Duties and Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Works with the business to extract IT requirements to determine network solutions
• Analyzes business requirements and translates them into network solutions
• Articulates network solutions to the business in a clear and concise manner
• Produces detailed network design documentation, implementation plans and financial models
• Regularly executes implementation plans with minimal business impact
• Develops network solutions in alignment with security policies
• Produces engineering and installation plans to support new initiatives as well as prepare reports and documentation on the existing network configuration as required.
• Executes the full network planning, road mapping, design, implement, maintenance and optimization processes
• Introduces new network technologies into the business
• Oversees network implementations, ensuring adherence to security policies
• Ensures network configurations are following industry best practices
• Applies core body of networking knowledge across multiple vendors
• Creates and delivers professional documents including RFPs, RFIs, SOWs
• Reengineers complex network solutions, such as leading mergers and acquisitions, integration, & problem resolution
• Assesses existing network solutions to identify improvement opportunities including automation, cost savings, simplification, increased reliability of the system

• Broad knowledge of current and emerging network technologies, technology directions, and strategic application to business needs, including the ability to differentiate between a relevant trend and hype
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others
• Ability to develop requests for and evaluate proposals in reference to leading-edge information services technology.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree preferred
• 5 years’ experience in network architecture/engineering
• Well Versed in cloud based networking including Azure
• Expert knowledge of Routing and Switching Technologies
• Expert knowledge of Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)
• Expert knowledge and execution of Cisco, Palo Alto and other network security solutions
• Adept in telecommunications and data communications technologies .
• Available for occasional travel
• Third-party candidates will not be considered.

Skills:

• Design and implement Azure Virtual Networks to segment and secure workloads.
• Configure subnets, route tables, and network security groups (NSGs) to control inbound and outbound traffic.
• Define inbound and outbound security rules to filter network traffic to and from Azure resources.
• Configure site-to-site VPNs to securely connect on-premises networks to Azure.
• Configure virtual networks (VNets), subnets, network security groups (NSGs), and user-defined routes.
• Implemented Azure VPN Gateway solutions for site-to-site and point-to-site VPN connections.
• Deploy and configure Azure Load Balancer.
• Utilize Azure Firewall Policy to manage and enforce security rules across multiple Azure region.
• Design security policies to protect data and applications in the cloud, using Azure Security Center.
• Develop migration plans to transition from third-party firewalls to Azure Firewalls
• Configure Azure Firewall rules to replicate existing security policies.
