Job Summary:
As a Senior Network Validation Engineer, you will work to develop and implement comprehensive network solutions that align with customers and business objectives, enabling breakthroughs in this rapidly moving field. You will join the team to help build out, benchmark, and troubleshoot the cluster for our customers including the in-house implementation and the on-site network deployment and acceptance. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Prove of concept design/test and provide optimized benchmarks on network performance
• Familiar with configurations/settings of different brands of switches including but not limited to Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Mellanox, Cumulus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams for technical issues
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges
• Optimize networking performance, addressing latency and bandwidth challenges, and implementing redundancy for high availability
• Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of networking, systems, and information security principles
• Manage multiple initiatives for network design/troubleshooting simultaneously
• Resolve cluster level issues switch, ethernet cards, infiniband switch and HBAs
• Maintain and improve test plans and test instructions
• Develop and deploy custom scripts for ad-hoc network deployment tasks to address specific needs during onsite visits
• Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware, software, and communication links
• Implement automation tools and processes to streamline network configuration, monitoring, and management
• Provide guidance on network, security, routing, WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, wireless, vendor management, and automation best practices, staying current with evolving technologies
• Provide on-site deployment service and customer acceptance verification
• Draft and maintain technical documentations including technical notes, blog, drawing or diagram
• Design and optimize routing protocols, including BGP, SD-WAN and MPLS, for efficient data flow
• Develop strong technical relationships with our customers and partners and achieve complex network setup
Qualifications:
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 8+ years of working knowledge in hardware/networking field is strongly desirable
• CCNA, CCNP, CCIE certifications a plus
• Deep knowledge with strong hands-on experience of computer networking, TCP/IP, L2/L3, SDN, OPA, InfiniBand, vlan, MLAG, access port, trunk port, etc.
• Familiar with Linux, Windows, and networking
• Strong in bash scripting and python, and compliers
• Good to have virtualization, networking, cloud, and security certs
• Strong sense of team work and a good team player, strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment; Action-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to effectively interface with management and engineering
• Comfortable in a customer-facing environment; Strong team-working and excellent interpersonal skills
• Work onsite at customer locations to complete the assignments and projects within tight deadlines
• Travel is required, and the role may involve working outside of regular business hours
Salary Range
$136,000 - $158,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
