About the Job
We are seeking OpenText xPression/Exstream Developers to support our Notices project on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Masterfiles contract. The Developers will provide analysis, redesign, development, testing, and documentation. Additionally, they may be involved in the migration from xPression to Exstream and the potential redesign of IRS Notices.
- Working on development/redesign in xPression.
- Assisting in the redesign or creation of notice headers, bodies, document styles, and formats.
- Producing requested documentation.
- Providing support for troubleshooting production problems and ensuring product support for taxpayer notices.
- Collaborating with clients/customers to develop technical strategies and frameworks.
- May provide migration support to Exstream to including code, debug, and test in the Exstream environment.
- Assisting in the creation of 508 compliant templates for notifications.
- Providing weekly status updates.
*Positions are contingent on additional funding.
Location of work is remote in US.
PROJECT SPECIFIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required; an additional four years of related work experience can substitute for a degree.
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience required
- Familiarity with all aspects of OpenText xPression, including installation, configuration, code development, customization, and implementation.
- Experience in creating various types of templates, such as letters, statements, bills, year-end statements, tax forms, and email notifications.
- Experience with Exstream platform and development.
- Familiarity with requirements analysis, design specifications, development, and testing of Dialogue.
- Proficiency in coding and/or application components and translating functional specifications into technical specifications.
- In-depth knowledge of page components, such as text boxes, tables, logos, pictures, and headers.
- Efficient troubleshooting and support for functional and product-related issues, including writing test plans and preparing test cases.
- Experience with 508 compliance.
- Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management.
- Excellent analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated high commitment to quality.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
- Experience in planning and accomplishing goals and complicated tasks and providing consultation on complex projects as a top-level contributor or specialist.
- Strong collaboration skills and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment.
- Preferred qualifications include: experience on IRS software development projects.
Additional Requirements as per Contract:
- Candidates must meet requirements to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (active IRS Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus).
- Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Provide design and implementation expertise to a cross-functional software development team. - Design and develop software applications from business requirements in collaboration with other team members. - Support testing and remediate defects. - May mentor entry and mid-level developers. Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
