Scope
This senior position is responsible for taking part in supporting the operations and ops architecture of the eBusiness ecosystem that includes a number of systems including Dotcom, My Account, BCP (Business Class Portal), Chat, etc. These systems are customer facing and provide ordering, trouble shooting, and billing related functionality. The eBusiness ecosystem primarily uses Microsoft Technologies running on Windows platform and SQL server database, and run across multiple data centers providing High Availability. They also interface with multiple internal systems using SOA-based technology, and are also integrated with a number of Cloud systems.
Responsibilities
The engineer will be responsible for application operations support. In this capacity the individual will be responsible for working with the development teams, infrastructure and vendors to resolve the application issues related to infrastructure and hardware. The candidate must demonstrate progressive leadership in Application Operations in Microsoft application environment(s).

Required Skills/Experience
- 10+ years support/administration experience in following technologies: Windows Server Platform, IIS, Active Server Pages (ASP, ASP.NET), HTML, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, Service-Oriented Architecture
- 5+ years exp in technology operations using Microsoft Technologies - change, configuration management, application deployment, trouble shooting, and monitoring in production and pre-production environments, and production incident management
- 3+ years of combined programming/scripting experience in any of the common languages such as C++, C#, Java, Perl, Shell etc.
- 3+ years combined support/administration experience in Microsoft SQL Server support.
- 2+ years experience with TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL protocols, DNS, DHCP, UDP, XML and SOAP, Active Directory administration
- 1+ years experience working with common network elements such as routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network storage
- 1+ years experience with Engineering Operations procedures, policies, and processes. Leads the integration of projects/products into operations including instrumentation, automation, standardization, and methods/procedures
- 1+ years experience resolving issues through closure engaging all appropriate resources. Leads technical bridges and provides troubleshooting direction. Provides guidance and recommended solutions to complex technical issues
- Operational experience with high volume transactional web platform, Hands-on exp with monitoring and tools such as Client, Tealeaf, Keynote, CatchPoint, Gomez, Wiley, Omniture
- Excellent communication, independent judgment and problem solving skills
- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, Engineering, or related fields
