Job Details
We are seeking an innovative Packaging Design Engineer to develop and initiate packaging designs in alignment with client needs and specification. Are you prepared to bring your A game to help us save the world, one package at a time?
Develop a high level of knowledge and expertise in protective packaging industry
Develops packaging designs in line with client needs
Create design concepts and execute physical samples utilizing Solidworks, ArtiosCAD, 3D printing, CNC machining, Thermoforming, and in-house cutting tables
Create and maintain packaging documents including, but not limited to specifications, drawings and cost sheets
Test quality and durability of new and existing packaging concepts through various testing procedures such as drop testing and data loggers
Validate and check finished parts against drawings, using precise measuring tools (micrometer, calipers, etc.)
Works with project management and sales team to prioritize projects and workload
Ability to work independently as well as on a team
Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time
Possess unparalleled creativity and the ability to think “outside of the box”
Supports and complies with all company policies and safety requirements
Performs other related duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
1-3 years in the packaging design industry
Proficient in developing and presenting PowerPoint presentations
Proficient in analyzing data in excel
Proficient in CAD related software such as Solidworks and ArtiosCAD
