Overview:
Conexess is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior PACS Administrator to join our team. As a senior member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in managing, optimizing, and supporting our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) to ensure seamless integration and functionality across our large-scale healthcare organization. This role requires a blend of advanced technical skills, leadership capabilities, and a solid background in healthcare IT.
Key Responsibilities:

PACS Management and Support:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the PACS infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, performance, and availability.
- Perform routine system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting to resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and IT staff to optimize system workflows and ensure high-quality imaging services.

Project and Change Management:
- Lead and manage PACS-related projects from initiation to completion, including system upgrades, integrations, and new feature implementations.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Facilitate change management processes, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical operations and effective communication with stakeholders.

Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior PACS administrators and IT support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and proactive team environment to address and resolve complex technical issues.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of team members.

System Integration and Optimization:
- Collaborate with vendors, engineers, and internal teams to integrate PACS with other healthcare systems such as RIS, EMR, and HIS.
- Continuously assess system performance and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.

Compliance and Security:
- Ensure PACS compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other relevant standards.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive patient data and maintain system integrity.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, incidents, and project progress for management review.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PACS Administrator Certification) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in PACS administration, including significant experience in a large-scale healthcare environment. Proven track record of successful project management and system optimization.
- Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of PACS systems and related technologies (e.g., DICOM, HL7).
- Experience with system integration and interoperability with other healthcare applications.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, including networking components.
