Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of a manager, the Sr. Pricing Analyst performs tasks of an analytical nature as an integral member of the Inmar Finance Team. The primary focus of the position is to perform financial analysis and metric based reporting that provides actionable analysis to drive higher returns.
This role partners with Sales, Client Services, Accounting and other operational groups to support pricing decisions for prospective clients and renewals of existing services and new products. As a result of established processes and business knowledge, this individual is expected to provide meaningful suggestions to enhance business performance and process efficiencies.
If new to the organization, expectations must be met around learning about Inmar as an organization:
- Learn Inmar’s product offerings and services to our customers across the major operational divisions
- Understand Inmar activities triggering the ability to earn revenue and invoice customers
- Become familiar with leadership structure, including C-suite executives, Divisional and BU leadership and Finance leadership and alignment with each business
- Understand and recreate the Inmar P&L, noting major revenue, expense and margin types across individual and multiple BUs and divisions, including consolidated performance
Primary Accountabilities:
Analytical (100%)
- Provide insightful metric-based reporting and analysis while maintaining transactional processes and records to ensure validity of complex transactions
- Provide analysis to compare actual results with plans and forecasts
- Improve financial results by monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management
- Develop dashboards with KPI’s
- Provide client or target profitability analysis, pricing scenarios, and trend information to help the group
- Assist with preparing annual budgets and forecasts
- Perform data pulls, modeling, detailed calculations, and loading of quarterly and annual budget numbers into financial systems in time to meet deadlines
- Prepare budget presentations to communicate key assumptions and forecasts with Business Unit leaders and Corporate Accounting
- Provide weekly forecasts for applicable lines of businesses
- Participate in monthly financial close
- Create client level revenue and cost of delivery analysis to support client profitability
- Partner with accounting team on month-end close processes including reconciling transactional data and correcting as applicable
- Provides analysis to compare actual results with plans and forecasts
- Demonstrate increasing levels of competence and autonomy, becoming the expert in certain processes and reports
- Demonstrate improvement of created and inherited processes and reports
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field of study
- 3-5 years of work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position
- Intermediate level proficiency using Microsoft suite of products including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Advanced level proficiency using Microsoft Excel
- Experience with financial/accounting systems, Oracle ERP system and Hyperion Essbase experience a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP, Finance and accounting at an advanced level
- Understanding of financial model creation and scenario assumption techniques
